Devil's Bane by Glenn Williams

Thank you to #BookSirens and #GlennWilliams for allowing me to read and review Devil's Bane,

This is book 1 of the The Port Hollow Witches series. If I had put a genre on this one, it would be a mix of romance, fantasy, and thriller.

Rory Garcia has a secret. He can't share it with just anyone, if he did, he could be killed for it.

Kathryn Silk is a witch with a wicked past. One that haunts her every day of her life

Dead bodies are piling up in Port Hollow. Kathry, Rory and other members of their coven must work together to find out who is killing people and why.

I rated this book 3 stars because so much happens it was overwhelming at times. With all that happened, I did not connect with the characters and felt unmoved by their story. I wish I would have liked this one more, it was just too much all at once for my senses.

Everyone Is A Moon by Sawney Hatton

Thank you to #Booksirens and author Sawney Hatton for the ARC copy of this book.

This is a book of short stories by the author Sawney Hatton.  This book is NOT for everyone. If you get offended easily or queasy with certain topics, probably need to skip some of the short stories. Otherwise, this is a good, quick read. I enjoyed most of the stories. However, some of them kind of left me wanting more.

In Hatton's introduction, he explains these stories are from his dark mind from his childhood and in to his adult years.

Hey Hatton, can you write a full novel of The Mortality Machine, The Boy Who Cried Alien or Mr. Gregori!?! I can think of a few twists and morbid events for those!

Willow by E. M. Raegan

Willow by E. M. Raegan is a fast paced zombie story with a little bit of romance thrown in. No, not romance between zombies, but between survivors.

Willow, our main character, is a young adult that has led a tumultuous childhood and follows her moms whims to try to keep the peace with extended family and friends.

Jason, our other main character, does not like Willow from the very beginning. He does what he can to prevent Willow from being accepted in to the family and the biker gang he belongs to.

The books starts right off when the zombies attack. It is action packed the entire time and does not disappoint. This isn't a hardcore zombie book, it is very mild and has an easy flow to read. It does end with a cliffhanger, which for some is irksome and others will find that okay.

I look forward to the second book!

Thank you to #BookSirens and #E.M.Raegan for this ARC copy!

Christmas in February. I love Christmas, but I find it hard to do small Christmas cross stitch patterns. So I joined a group that gives us a Christmas challenge each month to do a small stitch. So here is my tree!
