Prepare Because Death is Coming by Jay Wilburn. This story takes place a couple of generations after the zombie apocalypse outbreak. The town of Dry Stretch is ignoring a warning that a horde of zombies is heading their way. This story touches on human error when in the face of deadly assaults. You could learn a thing or two with this story to help your survival rates when it actually does happen.
Zombie Diner by Armand Roamilia. Grady and his family stop at a diner for a quick bite to eat on their vacation trip. The zombie outbreak happens right when they get their food. A highly entertaining family drama during the chaos of when it first happens.
Dance with the Dead by Erin Louis. A group of people in a strip club try to survive the zombie outbreak. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes gross, and most often, bloody delightful. I really enjoyed this witty story. It’s different from most zombie stories.
All three authors bring a different stage of the zombie apocalypse and what to do and what not to do in the event of an apocalypse. There are a lot of lessons to learn here! This should be on every zombie aficionado’s bookshelf. And any of you preppers, you need this, too.

Even if you don't draw all of the cats, this is definitely a must-have for all cat lovers!

The Trunk by Mia Dalia

  This was a crazy story! It starts out smooth as molasses and then gets all twisted and dark. It’s one of those stories that escalates quickly going all outta left field. Bogdan and his wife buy their first home together and it comes with a basement… with a trunk in the basement. Nothing else is down in the basement but this weird trunk. He doesn’t think too much of it at first. Until he finally decides to open the trunk. Mia Dalia writes fantastic stories. She has quite an imagination to give her stories lots of twists and turns. She told me once that she enjoys psychology and I think she writes with that in mind. Her writing style invokes humanity’s inner demons and pushes the mind to harrowing events. If you are in the mood for a quick horror story with a psychological twist, you need to read The Trunk and Smile So Red by Mia; she will dig into your brain.

The Deading by Nicholas Belardes

 This is genuinely a wonderful story. The Deading is one of the best pieces of literary horror I have read. It guides you through so many emotions and inner demons of all the characters. From the young to the old, The Deading highlights the differences of what age and time can do to change the strengths and compassion of an individual. While priorities are always different when we grow older, the basic need to survive and to be loved… never changes. Belardes reminds us that even though we have faults, we are each unique and have the capabilities to survive difficulties and come out stronger and better.  This is a strong character-driven narrative with some ornithology, creature features, and suspense. Under the watchful eye of the government, a small sea-side town tries to survive an infliction upon them. The people are changing. The once quiet and calm town has become a ruthless and dangerous community. The anxiety and stress of living in this changed town takes a toll on so ...
