It is nice to find a new author that can sweep you off your feet and make you fall in love with reading all over again. In Gage Greenwood’s Winter’s Myth,  he takes you on a journey of epic proportions. With tales of survival, love, horror, redemption, and revenge; Greenwood has formed a story that will live in your heart for eternity. 


For father Winter, his only reason to exist is to protect his two daughters, Violin and Candlestick. He uses stories of mythical gods and creatures to build their resolve and strength. This story is the journey of Winter, Violin, and Candlestick as they venture out on Earth after their underground home is ravaged by disease. Everything is new and old, safe and violent. 


For those of you craving a deep and enchanting story, this is for you. There are so many memorable quotes. The world building is ethereal, the characters have such depth and beauty you can’t help but love them all. You will absorb this story unlike any other and in the end, while heartbreaking and endearing, you will feel complete and needing more at the same time.

  Thank you #NetGalley and author #LuluMayo for sending me a copy of this fantastic book 101 Super Cute Cat Things to Draw!! This is such a cute book! Lulu Mayo teaches us how to draw some of the cutest little cat things. It starts out with a section of using a color wheel. I love the title of one of them "Pawsitively Pretty Pastels". From there on, the author shows up 101 ways to draw a cat. Such as a cat dragon, a mushroom cat, a cat cabbage, and cats drawn as zodiac signs! Even if you don't draw all of the cats, this is definitely a must-have for all cat lovers!

The Deading by Nicholas Belardes

 This is genuinely a wonderful story. The Deading is one of the best pieces of literary horror I have read. It guides you through so many emotions and inner demons of all the characters. From the young to the old, The Deading highlights the differences of what age and time can do to change the strengths and compassion of an individual. While priorities are always different when we grow older, the basic need to survive and to be loved… never changes. Belardes reminds us that even though we have faults, we are each unique and have the capabilities to survive difficulties and come out stronger and better.  This is a strong character-driven narrative with some ornithology, creature features, and suspense. Under the watchful eye of the government, a small sea-side town tries to survive an infliction upon them. The people are changing.
