Exiled No More by T. L. Price

 




Exiled No More by T. L. Price is a story rich in scenery and emotions. Price can describe a scene in the right amount of detail. The character development is strong and you begin to form a strong bond with the main characters. There is a whole lot of story packed into this novel, entertaining from start to end. 


Nahri Evans is banished to the Land of the Exiles. They thought she could not survive its harsh conditions, but they were completely wrong. Nhair forms a special bond with other outcasts and finds her new family. One day, Nhari discovers that she has to compete in a vicious competition, hosted by those that banished her. Using everything she has learned over the years, she becomes determined to win. 


Exiled No More is a fast paced story, never letting up on the action and emotion surrounding all the characters. I am looking forward to reading book two, Enviro-Scapes.

At Home with the Horrors by Sammy Scott

  This book of short stories is fabulous! I enjoyed every single story. They varied in true sense of horror, but they all had horrific endings, most you won’t see coming. What We Have Here is a heartwarming and terrifying story about a married couple who have some communication problems.  Theresa is a never ending love story. This one will stick with me for a long time.  Blackbird is when a dream becomes a nightmare.  In the short story Sisters, a daughter needs help moving her mom to a retirement home. The mom doesn’t want to leave the home she grew up in. Peeping Tommy is your average neighborhood boogeyman. Or is he…. In Becca ; Becca and Bryan need help with someone watching their house at night. He keeps standing there staring and then starts to make some noises.  Sleeptalker is an odd story about talking in your sleep. The couple use their phone to record what is being said.   Thank you #NetGalley and author #LuluMayo for sending me a copy of this fantastic book 101 Super Cute Cat Things to Draw!! This is such a cute book! Lulu Mayo teaches us how to draw some of the cutest little cat things. It starts out with a section of using a color wheel. I love the title of one of them "Pawsitively Pretty Pastels". From there on, the author shows up 101 ways to draw a cat. Such as a cat dragon, a mushroom cat, a cat cabbage, and cats drawn as zodiac signs! Even if you don't draw all of the cats, this is definitely a must-have for all cat lovers!
