What started out slow ended up picking up really quick and had nonstop action all the way up to the end. KC Grifant is a talented storyteller. I enjoyed this story more than I realized I would. 


Melinda West and her partner Lance travel from town to town helping to exterminate supernatural creatures that venture away from the Edge, a place of other-wordly beings and no one returns. Unfortunately, Melinda releases a demon and now they are tasked with tracking down this demon to retrieve what it stole from them. The story follows Melinda and Lance, as they meet new enemies and friends on their travels to hunt down this demon. A whole lot of people get in the way and a whole lot of bad luck follows them.


Overall, I would say this is a quick book to read in a couple days. It was different from other science-fiction/horror stories as the creatures are different from the usual ones represented in these types of stories. There is also a large variety of weapons and magic. It does keep to the Western genre with horses as transportation and Melinda being a gunslinger. I enjoyed the story, it was a nice, quick and easy read.

Lulu Mayo teaches us how to draw some of the cutest little cat things. It starts out with a section of using a color wheel. I love the title of one of them "Pawsitively Pretty Pastels". From there on, the author shows up 101 ways to draw a cat. Such as a cat dragon, a mushroom cat, a cat cabbage, and cats drawn as zodiac signs! Even if you don't draw all of the cats, this is definitely a must-have for all cat lovers!

The Deading by Nicholas Belardes

 This is genuinely a wonderful story. The Deading is one of the best pieces of literary horror I have read. It guides you through so many emotions and inner demons of all the characters. From the young to the old, The Deading highlights the differences of what age and time can do to change the strengths and compassion of an individual. While priorities are always different when we grow older, the basic need to survive and to be loved… never changes. Belardes reminds us that even though we have faults, we are each unique and have the capabilities to survive difficulties and come out stronger and better.  This is a strong character-driven narrative with some ornithology, creature features, and suspense. Under the watchful eye of the government, a small sea-side town tries to survive an infliction upon them. The people are changing.
