Realm of the Exiled by T. L. Price

 


Realm of the Exiled, the prequel to the Exiled Elementals series, by T. L. Price, releases on September 27th, 2022!


If you have read the first book of the series, this little novelette will give you some extra history about Nhari, Kasha and Tiago. If you have not read the first book in this series, this is a great place to start!


Nhari, Kasha, and Tiago are close friends and elementals, each having different powers. All three have a reason why they live on the Realm of the Exiled, a harsh and unforgiving island. 

When Nhari meets demigod Vigot, the ruler of the Realm of the Exiled, Tiago and Kasha become suspicious and worried. 


While this novelette is short, it draws you in quickly and keeps your attention the entire time.     T. L. Price spends time in this story with character building. We learn a little bit of the history of these three and the growth of their friendships.There are a few loose ends in this novelette, that I am hoping will be cleared up in book one, Exiled No More. I do think this is a great start to what could be a fantastic series. Overall, I did enjoy this novelette and I look forward to reading the series.

At Home with the Horrors by Sammy Scott

  This book of short stories is fabulous! I enjoyed every single story. They varied in true sense of horror, but they all had horrific endings, most you won’t see coming. What We Have Here is a heartwarming and terrifying story about a married couple who have some communication problems.  Theresa is a never ending love story. This one will stick with me for a long time.  Blackbird is when a dream becomes a nightmare.  In the short story Sisters, a daughter needs help moving her mom to a retirement home.   Thank you #NetGalley and author #LuluMayo for sending me a copy of this fantastic book 101 Super Cute Cat Things to Draw!! This is such a cute book! Lulu Mayo teaches us how to draw some of the cutest little cat things. It starts out with a section of using a color wheel. I love the title of one of them "Pawsitively Pretty Pastels". From there on, the author shows up 101 ways to draw a cat. Such as a cat dragon, a mushroom cat, a cat cabbage, and cats drawn as zodiac signs! Even if you don't draw all of the cats, this is definitely a must-have for all cat lovers!
